“As we celebrate Black History Month, I am thrilled to honor the exceptional Black physicians from our health system who were recognized by Castle Connolly,” said Ivelesse Mendez-Justiniano, NYC Health + Hospitals’ Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer. “The unique, lived experiences of Dr. Joan A. Culpepper-Morgan, Dr. Kecia Gaither, Dr. Lewis W. Marshall, and Dr. Wendy C. Wilcox, as well as our other exceptional Black physicians, are instrumental toward addressing the health care disparities that disproportionately impact the Black community in the United States.
